As we all know, there are many products and devices which have been created to assist us in the hugely complex task of oceanic navigation. Some types of devices are extremely complicated pieces of equipment that can perform a large variety of duties, but which require no less than a sharp mind and a thick manual. On the flipside, there are some that are not complicated in the least, but have less options and functions. But don’t worry, because the Raymarine E80 solves all these problems in one display!
The Raymarine E80 is considered to be one of the most capable and dynamic multi-functional displays, due to it’s capability to change into a stand-alone chartplotter, digital fishfinder, radar, or on board video system whenever you want. The way to do this is very easy: just plug the sensor that each function uses into the display and you’re good to go! Now you can use functions such as the gps chartplotters, which utilizes intensely detailed GPS satellite sensors to make sure you are always following your waypoints. The fishfinder and the radar are also exceptionally advantageous functions that allow you to scan the sea floor and monitor your position and location, respectively. You can’t do better than the E80!

NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 support rounds out the E80’s robust capabilities for integration with 3rd party electronics and electronic engine monitoring. Nothing could be finer than this.
The Raymarine E80 now supports PC Integration, a feature which lets you connect your display to your computer using a special software program. You can view and operate 3D charts, radar, and the HD Digital fishfinder right from your PC. It is also possible to record and play back from your HD Digital fishfinder display using PC Integration. Magellan unveils Switch, Switch Up GPS watches for runners, swimmers, extremists (Engadget)
Magellan is tossing its hat into the sporty ring today, with the Switch and
Switch Up -- a pair of GPS watches designed for number-crunching runners,
cyclists and other endurance enthusiasts. Boasting a petite, 1.26-inch
display, these petite devices allows joggers to monitor and record their
distance, pace and elevation, thanks to a sensitive GPS receiver that promises
an accuracy range of between three and five meters. Its onboard ANT+ wireless
technology, meanwhile, provides biometric and performance data culled from an
optional heart rate monitor or a variety of other accessories, including bike
sensors and power meters. Swimmers can take solace in the fact that the Switch
is water resistant at depths of up to 50 meters, while truly hardcore Ironmen
and women will be happy to know that they'll be able to store up to 60 hours'
worth of data on the watch, which promises up to eight hours of battery life
while in workout mode. The Switch Up, pictured above, offers many of the same
benefits, but features a vibration-based alert system and ships with a multi-
