Why Macs Are Inferior To PCs
Apple has really raised the stakes in the past ten years, the release of the original iMac with its funky shape and bright colours made everyone sit up and pay attention to Apple again. The iPod rocketed Apple to fame again and made all their other products famous and imbued with that air of coolness. Apple has achieved this target, market penetration is still a fraction of Microsoft’s but Apple make their money through the sale of iPods and the now ubiquitous iPhone.
Â
Â
Ask many people on the street which they prefer, Macs or PCs, and most will say Macs. Why? Because Mac’s are cool, Apple are defining the generation Y zeitgeist and making computer hardware sassy again. Windows PC s are associated with the older generation and work, not fun, frivolity and leisure time. Despite this hip image that Apple has carved for itself, the Mac in my opinion, is still no match for the humble PC.
Â
Many Mac buyers, after unwrapping their shiny new machine, staring at it for hours, plugging it all and installing the hard drives, will get a surprise. Why? Because of the Macs lack of compatibility. Although most programs developed by Windows are available on OSX, they are usually paired down versions.
Â
This realization somewhat takes the fun out of getting your new system when you ask yourself, what can I actually do with this? This is not to say that Apple hardware does not come bundled with a software package, most have an office like suite including Pages and Keynote, the equivalents to Word and Powerpoint but these are largely useless in a world that favours MS applications.
Â
There is a piece of software available that allows Macs to run with a Windows operating system, using all the usual PC components, but if you’re going to do this, why not just get a PC in the first place?

Apple Planning Completely Redesigned iPhone for Fall 2012 Launch? (Macrumors)
_BGR_ reports that Apple is planning to launch a completely redesigned iPhone
in the fall of next year, following the trend set by the iPhone 4S of new
hardware being released later in the year as opposed to the mid-year timeframe
used previously.
According the report, the next iPhone will utilize an aluminum back panel
rather than the glass found on the iPhone 4 and 4S. The new design will
reportedly also see the incorporation of a rubber or plastic bezel covering
similar to that used on Apple's iPhone bumpers, with the covering serving to
protect the device's antennas from direct skin contact.
> We have also learned that Apple is planning to use a rubber or plastic
material — similar to the material used in the company’s bumper cases — that
will be built into the new iPhone case. In all likelihood, this material will
be used as a bezel surrounding the front edge of the phone (like the iPhone
3GS bezel) and it will serve two purposes. First, it will join the glass
iPhone face with a new aluminum back plate. It will also cover a redesigned
antenna system that surrounds the device, ...
