With all these crossed USB cables / USB bridges available (some conviniently come with device driver embedded in the cable) for USB to USB file transfer, I just have a basic question: theoretically wouldn't it be possible to have a software that switches the pins of a USB port around, such that people can just use normal straight USB cable for file transfer? For example file transfer from my mobile phone to my lap top is across a normal USB cable, so surely if I link up two computers using a normal USB cable, there is software around to manage file transfer - right?
