Compaq CQ60-305EA - True Value From The Simple Yet Reliable Notebook
As more companies are now manufacturing computers, especially laptops and notebooks, we, the consumers, have become very lucky as this piece of integral hardware has dropped prices and there are many options to choose from. And not because they are now relatively cheaper, that doesn't mean that their performance takes a dip. The Compaq CQ60-305EA is such a notebook, made for the average user with regular usage; it is a notebook that is very simple and affordable with a remarkable 15.6 inch widescreen that delivers very well in terms of speed and performance.
The Compaq CQ60-305EA though is far from the ideal notebook to lug around. It is a bit chunkier and heavier than most of the latest designs and users of the Compaq CQ60-305EA have made use of the notebook more as a home PC. But its widescreen display makes up for the fact that it's a notebook and provides a feel of a desktop.
Design wise, the Compaq CQ60-305EA looks very much the same as the other Compaq laptops and notebooks within their line-up. The case includes a glossy black outer shell with a silver letter "Q" on top. As mentioned, it's really a bit heavy since it weighs in at 6.5 pounds. This weight can be related to the truth that it features a large frame measuring 37.8 cm lengthwise, 25.2 cm in width, and 4.4 cm tall. Although it could be tiring to lug around, it is still very mobile. With a large frame comes usually a large screen, and this Compaq notebook has a widescreen which has a 15.6 inch display which has a pixel resolution of 1366 x 768 and with the BrightView Technology of HP, the screen provides more than ample performance and quality displaying a glossy and reflective finish enhancing the brightness and depth of colour from the screen and it is images. The screen may also natively display HD content with 720 p because of its 16:9 aspect ratio. Which means that whether at home or on the road, you will be able to watch High Definition videos.
Again, because of its large frame, the Compaq CQ60-305EA can support a complete keyboard, which to some significant amount of people is definitely an added bonus; also, there's a dedicated numeric keypad ideal for anyone who has just moved from a desktop to some laptop. Keyboard colour is black on the CQ60-305EA the same with all of those other models in this line. Just below it's a silver palm rest along with a touchpad. What is lacking though is the accessibility to controls for media and for volume adjustment. Alongside the laptop keyboard surface, it is possible to locate switches, buttons, and controls for WI-FI, power, but for the touchpad.
As stated before, the Compaq CQ60-305EA is an extremely reliable notebook for the average user, but this notebook is not for gamers. With such affordability comes some sacrifice, and unfortunately, this is available in are the performance. However, for people who use their laptops and notebooks for straightforward operations, the CQ60-305EA provides a lot more than adequate performance, but for gamers as well as for video editing along with other advanced features, this isn't the system for you personally.
Overall, the Compaq CQ60-305EA is a notebook recommended for general use. For normal tasks such as web browsing, making documents, watching videos, you can be rest assured that it will perform superbly. For advanced tasks, don't get your hopes up.

Apple May Have Won The PC War… By Losing The Windows Battle (crunchgear?)
What exactly is a PC? That question is likely to become a hot topic over the
next few years. Originally, we thought of PCs as the Apple II or then the IBM
PC. They were machines that had to sit on a desk because, while significantly
smaller than a mainframe, they were still big and bulky. They had large
monitors, boxy bases, and big keyboards. The original Macintosh attempted to
make this footprint a bit smaller and the package more compact, but the IBM
clones won the day. Windows won the day. PCs by Compaq and HP led to machines
by Gateway and Dell. Boxy bases were joined by massive towers. Bigger seemed
better. Small monitors were replaced by huge monitors. Then something changed.
While laptops had existed in various forms for years, by the mid 2000s, the
prices, performance, and size made them viable "desktop replacements". They
were different enough from traditional PCs that they had their own name, and
people thought of them differently. But eventually, as they started to
dominate the market, people just began thinking of laptops as PCs as well.
They were, after all, personal computers.
